In this episode, Syd and I are going to discuss the tropes we are reading most right now. To begin with a little discussion on what a trope actually is. A trope is basically a subcategory within a sub genre of a genre. The first tier is the genre, which most of the time for us will be romance. The second tier is the subgenre, which would be like fantasy, paranormal, dystopian, rom- com, or contemporary. The same trope can belong in multiple subgenres. Examples of different tropes are what we discuss in this episode.
